Alternatives: Very Small Washing Machines

When you live in a small place like a studio apartment or dorm, it may be difficult to get laundry done since it requires frequent trips to the laundry mat.

The good news is that there are very small washing machines out there that can accommodate your needs.

In terms of look and feel, you’ll find that these type of washing machines are a lot like buckets. They sit on your counter, you fill them up with water and you either fix the settings for them to work or you manually wash the clothes yourself. This often takes anywhere from 2-15 minutes, depending upon what small washing machine you decide to get.

Very Small Washing Machines The good news is they do a fairly good job, but since they are so small you might find the volume of washing goes up. Another con is there is no spin cycle.

You can do basic washing and even create a rinse cycle by adding clean, non-detergent water but when it comes to wringing them out, you’ll either have to do it by hand or get a spin cycle dryer or get a wringer to take the place of the missing cycle.

All-in-all, they ain’t half bad. Especially if you’d rather do frequent amount of washing versus walking or drying to a laundry mat that’s out of your way.

As for choices, they’re quite simple. You can go for Laundry Alternative’s Wonder Wash, which is manual. You’ll have to spin it yourself. It’s not to be confused with the Wonder Washer which has a similar name but is automatic.
