In this case, washer and dryer combos aren’t to be confused with stackable washers and dryers. If you get this type of washer and dryer combo, you’ll be getting an all-in-one unit.

A unit that does both washing and drying for you. Obviously, this will in turn save you quite a bit of floor space since you’re able to eliminate the need of an extra unit–that being either the washer or dryer.

Often the additional bonus with these is that they usually are portable, do not require a dryer vent and have the ability to connect to the kitchen sink.

The cons are that the washer and dryer combo is a bit pricey (ranging around $800-$1000+) and it takes a bit longer to dry clothes. Generally, you can expect them to dry clothes between 45-180 minutes. As for what’s out there, Haier and LG make popular combo units of 11, 15 and 22 lb. capacity.
