Like Chests of Drawers the best way to save space with a dresser is by searching for one with legs on it. This will give the illusion that you have more space in your room than you actually do.
And although dressers are generally wide, you can also save some space by looking for one with small dimensions. Single dressers are usually your best bet as opposed to double dressers.

If you’re not sure of the difference, a double dresser tends to look like two small dressers put together and a single looks similar to a chest of drawers, with the exception that it tends to be lower in height and sometimes a little wider.
