Alternatives: Waste Not with Grab Rags
Grab Rags to the Rescue!
If you want to go green and you want to stop using paper towels, consider using “grab rags” instead. What are grab rags? Oh, just a set of dingy wash clothes and towels that you can no longer use to wipe your hands, wash your body or clean dishes with.
You could also buy a nice clean set to take the place of paper towels. Mine are generally colored cloths because I use white strictly for taking a shower and I like to differentiate between the two. So colored rags are for cleaning dirt around the home and white cloths are for cleaning or bathing.
I put them all in a cardboard box and then labeled them “Grab Rags.” They sit on the bottom shelf in my storage closet. Then on cleaning days, I just grab and use one to clean the counters, spot clean the floor, etc.
